Sample Kobo is located near the center of the city. In a 150 year-old Machiya building (merchant’s house), you can observe the manufacturing process of food samples, which is very rare.
Our popular items, such as fake food key holders and other items, are perfect souvenirs.
Every summer at the time of the Gujo Dance, which is one of three major Bon dances in Japan, a parade of dancing people march along the street in front of us all night long. It creates such a lively atmosphere with the sound of clogs.
