TSUMIBOBO

The new type of building blocks “TSUMIBOBO” was certified as the Good Toy of 2013!

TSUMIBOBO is a set of stacking blocks in the motif of Sarubobo doll, a traditional folk craft in Hida Takayama that is made in the hope of bringing children happiness. Maple wood is used for the head part of the piece and cedar for the body. By using cedar wood from forest thinning, Shirayuri contributes to improving the forest environment. The combination of two kinds of wood material with different weights allows the pieces to be stacked in wonderful balance. With a creative mind, people of all ages enjoy discovering limitless ways to play with TSUMIBOBO.
