Wood Cup

Hida’s new traditional craft “nokutare” wood cup carved out of solid natural wood.

Using good-quality, natural wood from Hida Takayama, craftspeople make each of these wood cups by hand. Some have a decorative surface with Ichii itto carvings (yew wood carvings) and Others are finished by lacquering “Hida Shunkei.” Both are broadly-acclaimed traditional craftwork of Hida Takayama.
