Elegant, lacquered flower vase with a deep lustrous finish. We shape our products on a wood lathe, turning wood at high speed and carving it with a ring-shaped cutting tool. Applied the finishing coat of clear lacquer (suki-urushi), bringing out the beauty of the wood grain, which is unique to Hida shunkei lacquerware, a traditional technique in Hida Takayama region. Our products are made from ceder grown in Hida, Gifu prefecture.
