Beech was not commonly used for furniture making in the past due to its susceptibility to bending and twisting. After framing this intractable wood, it is shaved to achieve this round form. It looks like an ordinary round clock at a glance, but for woodworking shops, this clock is a masterpiece of incredible woodworking techniques.
