ASANO NENSHI has developed a twisting method that forms a layer of air in thread. It is called the “Super Zero” method where the originally twined yarn is twisted two times in the opposite direction. The method has added various properties to fiber products, including good stretching, breathability, durability, softness, water absorbance, quick-dry, and light weight. The popular “Air Kaoru” series towel is produced using this patented technology. In 2013, “Air Kaoru” won the Award of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry at the 5th Monodzukuri Japan Awards.
