Colorful Masu
Impressive pop design. This exotic, unique container is highly acclaimed overseas.
“To convert a traditional wooden Masu into a more stylish pop box,” various colors and motifs are printed by silk screen printing. A glossy coating is applied to the surface. Variations include the following five series: “GIMAPOP” features a combination of straight lines extended crosswise and two vivid colors, both of which draw out the beauty of the Masu box. We created “LIP” hoping for ladies to use Masu more casually when drinking sake. “Kiriko” was designed in a the motif of a kiriko cut glass to match anywhere it is placed. “Ichimasu” was produced by adding a modern arrangement to the Ichimatsu pattern, which was popular among women in the Edo Era and often incorporated into yukata (light cotton kimono for summer) and belts for beautiful kabuki actors. “Hachi masu” resembles a familiar “pot.”
