Shichimi pepper was born as a herbal medicine 400 years ago. It is a traditional Japanese spice that is indispensable not only for health but also for enjoying the spiciness and aroma of Japanese food culture. Our company started manufacturing shichimi peppers with the desire to stick to the authentic taste, using Tokuyama peppers, which are naturally produced in Gifu Prefecture and are characterized by their hot and delicious taste.
We manufacture and sell a wide variety of shichimi peppers, seeking further possibilities for shichimi peppers while valuing the products that we have now. Currently, there are 15 types of shichimi togarashi, so you can choose what you want to use depending on your mood and cooking. There are many shichimi chili peppers that are unique to our company. In the future, we plan to spread this Japanese spice not only in Japan but also overseas, so that more people overseas can know about it.

Business description | The shichimi pepper produced by our company has three characteristics. 1. Use Tokuyama red pepper A chili pepper that is the base of the spiciness of shichimi chili pepper. All of our shichimi chili peppers use Tokuyama chili peppers from Gifu prefecture. Tokuyama chili peppers were grown in the former Tokuyama Village in Gifu Prefecture. In 1987, the Tokuyama Dam was completed for the purpose of flood control of the Ibi River and the village sank to the bottom f the dam and Tokuyama pepper were thought to be extinct as well. However, the cultivation was resumed because the former villagers carefully stored the seeds wishing to give them the name of the village "Tokuyama" to future generations. Tokuyama chili peppers are 1.6 times hotter than regular chili peppers and are rich in glutamic acid, which is an umami component. It is a hot and delicious red pepper with a high rarity.
