Using a glaze copperplate method traditionally found in the Mino area, extremely thin white porcelain is formed and fired at an elevated temperature (1,340 degrees Celsius), which gives it a moist texture. Due to the thinness, a bamboo leaf pattern can be seen through the porcelain. The image of emerging bamboo leaves will remind you of the scenery through a sliding paper door.
