This artwork is highly rated for its excellent design that resembles a rising shard of ice accompanied by the folding property that reflects Japanese lantern making techniques. Bright light glitters through the Rakusui Washi paper like crystals. The smallest of the Paper Stone series, S-880, can easily be placed on a table. S-885 is preferably a low floor light stand. The Paper Stone series is one of Fores’ representative products that has won various awards including the Good Design Award 2001 and the Special Prize at the International Furniture Fair Tokyo (IFFT) Awards 2003/2004.
