Our company produces the rich brown color by applying Gifu produced persimmon tannin to 100% cotton fabric, which is then exposed to the sun 3 to 13 times over about a week.
Persimmon tannin chemically changes to dark brown when it interacts with iron. This phenomenon is used to dye or add patterns. Our products are carefully sewn with a sewing machine.
